Tea Tastings

One of the best ways to expand your tea knowledge is through a tea tasting. As with anything else, we tend to fall into a routine when it comes to drinking tea: we have our favorite flavors or favorite brands, and we stick with them. But if we stay within our comfort zone, we'll never know what other wonders may await us.

There are several ways to break out of your tea routine. One of the best ways is through a tea tasting. A tea tasting isn't just about trying out a cup of tea--you could do that on your own. A good tea tasting is also about gaining knowledge. Whether its about the different types of teas, or tea history, or other aspects of tea, you will learn from the person conducting the tasting.

We recently held a private tea tasting at the Purple Rose Tearoom. We explored tea history, discussed the differences between types of teas, and even talked about the different ways to steep a cup of tea. Everyone left with a better understanding of their favorite beverage.
